The PCV, Portable explosion Containment Vessel, is designed for the safe containment and removal of suspected items possibly containing explosives, toxic materials or a combination of explosives and toxic materials The PCV series is gas-tight with an option to sample gases after detonation prior to being safely released; this is a feature of all Dynasafe containment products. The PCV is also designed to withstand repetitive detonations up to the maximum amount of explosives specified.

Dynasafe has designed various types of PCVs to meet different demands in respect to loading capacity and the explosive containment capacity. The PCV can also be tailored according to the specific demands of the client.

The PCV series of vessels is equipped with a loading box or loading tray depending on the version. The PCVs are mounted on carts for easy moving and positioning, the loading/unloading is performed manually. Heavier PCV units are mounted on steel frames equipped with wheels and can, optionally, be manoeuvred automatically from a distance.

After the suspected object has been put into the PCV the unit is closed and can be moved to a safer location where EOD experts are able to investigate the object without danger to public and/or property.
