The technology overview presented is an innovative approach to the remediation of Recovered Chemical Warfare Materiel (RCWM) that could make recoveries and clean-up activities related to non-stockpile RCWM safer, more efficient, and effective.

The presentation will report on the proof-of-concept testing using a DYNASAFE Static Detonation Chamber (SDC) model 1200 for the processing of FASCAM AP munitions. The discussion will provide data to prove the SDC is a safe and effective solution for demilitarization of chemical munitions, both nerve and blister agents.

A co-authored paper by Carol Charette, Project Manager with the U.S. Corps of Engineers New England District and Mike Warminsky, Sr. Vice President at UXB International, will be presented at the Third International Dialogue on Underwater Munitions in Sopot, Poland on April 15, titled “A Case Study in Underwater Investigations and Removals of Legacy Munitions in Environmentally and Culturally Sensitive Locations.”
