Under the United Nations Development Program, UXB Balkans supplied effective and safe disposal of 58 Areal Fuel Bombs (FAB-275) and Areal Fuel Rocket-modified Bombs (RFAB-275 M-91)in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

UXB is in a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) partnership with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) to develop an innovative non-petroleum biopolymer for soil stabilization.

The presentation will report on the proof-of-concept testing using a DYNASAFE Static Detonation Chamber (SDC) model 1200 for the processing of FASCAM AP munitions. The discussion will provide data to prove the SDC is a safe and effective solution for demilitarization of chemical munitions, both nerve and blister agents.

A co-authored paper by Carol Charette, Project Manager with the U.S. Corps of Engineers New England District and Mike Warminsky, Sr. Vice President at UXB International, will be presented at the Third International Dialogue on Underwater Munitions in Sopot, Poland on April 15, titled “A Case Study in Underwater Investigations and Removals of Legacy Munitions in Environmentally and Culturally Sensitive Locations.”

UXB International began working the Military Ranges and Training Sub Group within an SDSFIE (Spatial Data Standard for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment) Working Group. SDSFIE has been recognized as an enterprise standard across the entire Department of Defense business mission area.
