DYNASAFE MECVMobile Explosive Containment

UXB is the exclusive North American reseller for the DYNASAFE line of explosion containment systems. These products, which can be customized, provide safe containment and removal of explosives, toxic, or radiological materials.

Explosives Melt-Out / Recovery

UXB SteamPro™

UXB SteamPro™ technology is a flexible system that removes meltable explosives from munitions. The system is capable of processing munitions from the 60 mm mortar up to 2000 pound bombs. Explosives recovered from the SteamPro system are suitable for recycling. The SteamPro can be ordered with accessories to assist in flaking, reformulating, or re-casting of explosives.

Static Detonation Chamber

A unique thermal treatment product by DYNASAFE, called the Static Detonation Chamber (SDC), is designed specifically for the challenges of modern demilitarization efforts and provides for the safe destruction of explosives and munitions. DYNASAFE's SDC has several key advantages:

Static Detonation Chamber

Detonation Capacity: The SDC can handle literally thousands of detonations of over four pounds of high explosives per load. This means that projectiles (such as the 81 mm mortar and 75 mm recoilless rifle round) can be fed to the SDC intact, without any pre-treatment or cutting. This is a critical advance over competing thermal treatment processes that generally handle only a few hundred grams of explosives per batch.

Indirect Heating: The SDC uses indirect heat, where heat transfer gasses never come into contact with the waste ammunition. This results in a dramatic reduction of volume of off-gas for treatment, allowing for a smaller, less expensive off-gas treatment process, with a much smaller carbon footprint.

Off-Gas Treatment: The off-gas treatment system of the SDC is capable of meeting or exceeding the world's most stringent environmental regulations.

Metal Treatment and Salvage

UXB engineered, designed, and manufactured a fleet of Lightweight Ordnance and Armaments Demilitarization Systems (LOADS®), a proprietary technology process for demilitarizing training ordnance, range-related materials, munitions, and small arms weapons. This mobile process can crush and cut inert ordnance making it acceptable to recycle. This technology can enhance the way military ranges are cleared, providing for safety as well as a revenue stream through recycling of the materials.

Flashing furnaceFlashing Furnace

The Flashing Furnace processes are designed to contain hazardous components and certify explosive-free material that may have potentially presented an explosive hazard (MPPEH). Methods are proven means of attaining high degrees (5x) of decontamination. It is commonly used to destroy and decontaminate equipment, soil, and smaller explosive components.

Energetic wasteChemical Neutralization Processes

UXBASE® is a UXB-developed technology to non-thermally treat energetic waste and materials contaminated with energetic waste. The hydrolysis process works on bulk product or soil, and can treat metals to 5x equivalent.
